FT. LAUDERDALE, FL – Florida Medical Center announced that Dr. Mario Galdames has joined the hospital’s geriatric department and Dr. Anthony M. Maher will join the hospital as a family practitioner.
Recently, Dr. Galdames was on a geriatric medicine fellowship at the William S. Middleton VA Hospital in Madison, Wis. He also completed a family practice residency at Swedish American Hospital, University of Illinois College of Medicine, and was a Doctor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of El Salvador. He is a member of the American Medical Association and of the American Association of Family Physicians.
Dr. Maher‘s most recent position was as an attending physician with Stinson Medical Center, Miami. Prior to that, he worked in private practice with Hague Medical Associates in Norfolk, VA. Dr. Maher received his medical training at the Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies and at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He is board-certified in Family Medicine by the American Medical Association.
