FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Florida Medical Center’s Chief Executive Officer Bob Haley and Chief Operating Officer Ben Rodriguez recently presented a $5,000 check to the American Cancer Society (ACS) Broward Chapter as part of the hospital’s Tenet Foundation charity contributions to help local fundraising efforts.

The $5,000 contribution will be earmarked towards the ACS’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiatives, which includes educating women about early breast cancer detection.

The American Cancer Society works closely with Florida Medical Center’s The Care Center for Women to promote breast cancer awareness, regular diagnostic screenings and overall well being for women.

“We’re pleased to be able to aid the efforts of the American Cancer Society in promoting this initiative,” said Haley.  “Continued awareness and regular diagnostic screenings are crucial in the fight against breast cancer.”
